Summer is here, and at Eden Therapy Co., we’re embracing the season of growth, movement, and self-care. As we continue to bloom and evolve as a team and practice, we’re reminded of just how important it is to regularly pause and check in with ourselves.
We want to challenge you this month:
Take a time-out for your heart.
Engage in intentional self-care.
Make space for what you need to feel whole and well.
Why Self-Care Isn’t Optional
Self-care isn’t selfish. It’s essential. When we care for ourselves, we’re better equipped to care for others—and show up in our lives as the healthiest, most present version of ourselves.
Here are just a few reasons why self-care matters:
- It allows us to be more present with others because our own needs are met
- It boosts our self-worth by affirming that we matter
- It prevents burnout
- It helps us build healthier relationships and set boundaries
- It supports better mental health
- It energizes us and helps us be our “best self”
In short? Self-care is how we keep going—and keep growing.
What Self-Care Can Look Like
Self-care doesn’t always mean a long vacation (though we love those too). Sometimes, it’s as simple as:
- Stepping outside for five minutes of sunshine
- Playing a favorite song and taking deep breaths
- Saying “no” to something that drains your energy
- Lighting a candle and pausing for prayer
The small moments add up.
How We Practice Self-Care at Eden Therapy Co.
Here’s how some of our team members nourish themselves:
- Angie – “I love walking on the beach and making collages.”
- Leslie – “I hit the gym and love spending time with friends!”
And one thing we all do? We pray—together, every Monday—for our clients. It’s one of the most grounding and meaningful parts of our week.
