At some point in life, many of us put our dreams on pause—or quietly lay them to rest.

Life gets busy. Responsibilities pile up. Unexpected curveballs reshape our direction. And before we know it, something we once held close becomes a distant memory.

But what if those dreams aren’t gone forever?
What if they’re simply waiting to be revived?

Childhood Dreams and Grown-Up Detours

As a kid, I wanted to be a writer.

My bookshelf was lined with notebooks—front and back pages filled with poems, stories, and doodles. I imagined book covers with my name on them, libraries that would carry my titles, and how I’d sign copies at readings (yes, I had a whole signature planned out).

But somewhere along the way, the dream dimmed.

The conversation around careers became louder in my life, and I was gently (and not-so-gently) steered toward more “practical” paths. Writing, they said, wouldn’t pay the bills. Life brought its fair share of detours too, and eventually, I stopped writing altogether.

That dream didn’t just pause—it died a little.

Resurrection and Reflection

This year, while preparing for Easter—stuffing eggs, organizing baskets—I felt God remind me of something profound.

Resurrection isn’t just a story from Scripture.
It’s a truth we live.

Just as Jesus rose from the grave, God can resurrect the parts of us we thought were lost—even our dreams.

Maybe for you, it was a plan, a passion, a desire you were once excited about. Maybe it faded due to heartbreak, financial struggle, or just life getting in the way.

Whatever it was, you can dream again.

The Power of Hope

Jeremiah 29:11 says,

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Hope isn’t just wishful thinking.
It’s a spiritual discipline.
It’s faith for the future.

We need hope to:

  • Pay the bills with peace
  • Face illness with courage
  • Restore our families with grace
  • Trust that today’s situation isn’t the end of our story

At Eden Therapy Co., We Still Believe

We believe in healing.
We believe in wholeness.
We believe in resurrected dreams.

Our hope for every client is that their needs will be met, their hearts will be held, and their stories will include joy and redemption.

We remain full of faith that God is still at work—and that the dreams He placed in your heart are not random. They matter.

A Personal Note from Leslie

No, my books haven’t hit the shelves.
I haven’t hosted a signing (yet).
But I’m writing.
I’m still a writer.
And maybe this blog post—this story—is the beginning of something coming back to life.

Thank you for reading.
Thank you for sitting with me in this reflection.
And thank you for reminding me that dreams still matter.
